Frugal Crafty Home Blog Hop 89

August 17, 2014 by Carrie

What an emotional week for me.   Being a little sleep deprived lately, I’ve gotten upset at my kids this week a lot more than I’d like to admit.   I also sent my firstborn to Kindergarten this week.  I’m excited for her and also a little worried.  Thankfully God has reminded me that I can let go of her and trust that He’s going to take care of her.

If I have time next week I may try to share some stories and photos of my daughter’s first day at school!

Now on to the party!

If you want to make sure you don’t miss a party,  subscribe to my email list & you won’t miss a thing!

Frugal Crafty Home Blog Hop

This week at Carrie This Home:

When I met my husband about 15 years ago, he slowly started converting me into a germophobe.  Now that I’m fully converted, I wrote some helpful tricks and tips about the top 5 dirtiest things in a hotel room and how to clean them in under 5 minutes.  Some of my readers have added some great suggestions in the comments.  Have I mentioned I LOVE my readers?

Hope your week goes well, Carrie, and that your daughter has a wonderful year in Kindergarten. I know it’s so hard to send them off like that. Hugs to you!!!

Oh, It’s so hard sending your precious babies off to school. I do feel for you. There will be downs as well as ups but they will be ok. I found the hardest thing was the fact that someone else was deciding things for my child, things that up to that point I had decided. Only little things like what time they ate, or giving permission for them to do something. I’m not explaining myself very well but I’d be interested to find out if it’s the same for other people (or just me !)
Oh and the fact that suddenly you know nothing and the teacher knows everything – that’s pretty annyoing too!

I see where you’re coming from Julie. Yes I am finding hard when I think about someone else being in charge. But the good thing about that is that because I am entrusting my daughter to her teacher, I can now enjoy a lot more freedom! I’m blessed that I know her teacher personally and I’m able to really trust her.

Ohh that is hard sending off your first to kindergarten! I felt my my little guy was just so grown up today… and he’s only 1 and 1/2 I can’t image kindergarten. Looking forward to seeing the pics 😉

It will be a long time before that happens so you can just enjoy time with him now! My daughter and I were both ready for school & it’s been a great transition so far!

Aww… praying she has a fabulous Kindergarten year! It is so hard to walk away when our little ones are in a new place and maybe unsure.

Wishing you a much better week!

Thank you for your prayers Ashley! That means a lot to me! She’s had a wonderful time so far. In fact, Saturday morning she asked to go back and was disappointed she couldn’t until Monday! She is going to a great school with wonderful teachers so I have nothing to worry about 🙂

Thank you again so much for featuring me! I unknowingly visited two of your other features (haggling and strawberries), so I am really flattered to have been included with them. Can;t wait to see what everybody else has to show off this week.
