Remember when I shared a Low Calorie Green Smoothie recipe? I loved it and it seemed like a lot of my readers did too!
Since then I’ve experimented and made some other low calorie green smoothies.
Then it hit me–why not try this with peaches?
The results were awesome. I’m not kidding.
Dare I say I like this one even BETTER than the original?
Yes.
It tastes like a fresh peach in the middle of summertime. It’s light, refreshing and packed with good-for-you vitamins and minerals.
Your body (and taste buds) will thank you!
Just like my original low calorie green smoothie, this drink will ensure you pack in a lot of veggies with an awesome taste without too many calories.
Here’s the calorie breakdown:
- One cup banana: 105 calories
- One cup peaches: 97 calories
- 1.5 TBSP honey: 90 calories
- Light Greek yogurt: 90 calories
- 2 cups spinach: 14 calories
There are three servings in this smoothie and each serving only has 132 calories!
- 1 cup frozen peaches
- 1 ripe banana, cut in several chunks
- 2/3 cup cold water
- 1.5 TBSP honey
- 1 5.3 oz light peach yogurt (Greek yogurt will give a thicker texture)
- 2 cups baby spinach (packed down into measuring cup)
- Put ingredients into blender.
- Blend for about a minute until all ingredients are blended up. I usually have to stop the blender and push the spinach down towards the bottom to get it to mix in. I do this a couple times until the mixture is all blended up.
- Pour into cups and enjoy!

I have been on a green smoothie kick! I’ll have to try this… I normally buy the variety bag from Walmart with peaches, but I haven’t singled them out like that. I bet it is good.
Carrie says
Using the variety fruit bag would be good with this smoothie, but separating out the peaches will be worth it! I hope you enjoy this!

We love green smoothies! When peaches were on sale last summer, I froze lots of them in halves. We throw them into our smoothies and they really are delicious 🙂 Green smoothies really are a great way to get your kids to eat veggies.
Carrie says
I’m going to have to take your tip and freeze a bunch of peaches this summer! That would be perfect for these smoothies!

Hi Carrie,
We love smoothies at our house and would love for you to come and share this at The Yuck Stops Here! link up.
Carrie says
Thank you for the invite, Erlene! I just linked up. I hope you get to try this soon!

Thanks for linking up. I appreciate you taking the time and coming over. Your recipe actually inspired me to add some spinach to our smoothies and I’m buying some spinach today. I don’t know why I’ve never added it ours before. It kind of makes sense to add them in and hide it in the sweet fruity flavors.
Carrie says
It really does make sense since you don’t really taste the spinach! May as well add some great nutrition!

I’m such a fan of green smoothies! I never think to put yogurt in them, but I will have to try it out. Stopping by from LOBS.

I wish my kids would eat green smoothies, but the color turns them off! Oh well, I still love them! This one sounds like a good one to try!
Carrie says
I can’t blame them–green smoothies look kinda gross but hopefully they’ll try it sometime!
