Our Florida & Disney Vacation

June 12, 2015 by Carrie

My family just got back from a great vacation to Florida and Disney.  With my in-laws.

Yes I vacation with my in-laws.

Disney vacation with the in laws!

That may sound crazy but I’d be crazy not to vacation with them.  They’ve always treated me like one of their own & they’re a blast to be around.

First, let me get to one of the best parts about our trip.  My daughter got to meet Anna and Elsa!!

Character greet with Anna! Character greet with Elsa!

{We discovered some great tips to help keep you from waiting in line all day to see Elsa and Anna (or your favorite Disney attraction)–I’ll be posting about that real soon.  Click here to subscribe so you don’t miss the good tips!}

The first day we relaxed and then went walking through Downtown Disney.  This is a great (and free) place to walk around and go shopping at some great stores like the Lego store and Disney store.

This rocket with Woody and Buzz is made entirely of Legos!

he Lego Store in Downtown Disney has an amazing statues outside made entirely of Legos!

We even got a decent family photo.  On the first day of vacation!  That never happens.

We took two full days to visit Disney at Epcot and the Magic Kingdom. The first day we spent a lot of time underwater.

Sort of.

Bruce!

We got to meet Belle and get her autograph!

and Princess Jasmine & Aladdin…

…and Alice in Wonderland!

I think we’re character experience experts now!

Later in the week we took some time to visit my Grandmother for part of our trip since we were nearby.

With Grandma, we went to one of the most gorgeous beaches I’ve ever been to.  It was such a beautiful day and I wished we could have spent more time there.

The beach at Pine Island is a must see on your Florida vacation!

At our resort, they brought out an animal handler right by the kiddie pool.  And then it happened….

My daughter held an alligator!

Holding an alligator!!

She’s officially more brave than me.  I’m really okay with that.

I don’t know the total number of photos I took on this vacation.  After deleting the bad ones and editing, the number of photos that made the final cut were 321.

Three hundred and twenty one!

I’m having a really hard time deciding which photo is my favorite but this is one of the front runners!

Are you going on vacation this summer?  Where would your dream vacation be?
