How To Get A High-End Look On A Budget
Choose one item to make a big impact. This bathroom used to have an ugly plastic counter top. We replaced it with a beautiful granite counter top and have loved it ever since. It instantly gives the bathroom a classy welcoming look for guests. You can see all the details of our Budget Bathroom Makeover here. This was our big impact item for the room and it made a huge difference.
See the room as a guest would see it. When you live in your home, sometimes you can become blind to normal messes. Make sure you look at your bathroom as if you’ve never been there before. If you have children, make sure the “equipment” like step stools and toothbrushes are put away.
Use scent to create the scene. One of the best things about rooms with a high-end look is the way they smell. A beautiful room looks good and smells good, too. Offering a nice hand soap that smells blissful is an easy way to pamper guests. (I know the perfect hand soap for this, so keep reading!)
Update your wall decor. I love to change the bathroom wall decorations every season to give the bathroom a different feel. I’ve got 10 free printables to get that started!
I did these four steps to my own bathroom to show you how well this works. Here’s what my bathroom looks like most days…
Here’s what it looks like after just a couple of simple steps:
See the difference? It took about 10 minutes but it really looks like a much more updated and inviting space!
Which scent and printable would look great in your bathroom?

I love your bathroom printables…I have been looking everywhere for something like these. Would you be willing to tell me the HTML code your used for the Whipped Cocoa Butter designs? I have something I designed on Avery Design and would like to match my background color to your prints. Thanks.
Carrie says
Absolutely! The HTML code for that color is DEB887. I’m thrilled to hear these are just what you were looking for! You’ll have to show me what the finished project looks like!

I agree–lavender is a great color and scent for the bathroom. You could transition over to yellow or use it as another accent to lavender. The possibilities are endless!

Your bathroom is so lovely! I adore it, and will be getting some of the printable artwork for mine – I have walls crying out for it. Love the idea of matching the soap to it. The tough part will be deciding on the scent. All three of them sound divine!
