Welcome to this week’s Frugal Crafty Home Blog Hop! I’m so glad you decided to join me along with Katie, Kristi and Amy!
Frugal Crafty Home Blog Hop is THE place to link up and share recipes, craft, DIY project posts and more!
This Week At Carrie This Home:
Most days it’s just me and my three year old for lunch. It doesn’t make much sense to make a big meal just for the two of us. Healthy Seasoned Rice with Avocado is one of our favorite lunch options. Loaded with taste, whole grains and healthy fats it’s the perfect lunch or small dinner!
Some Of My Favorite Links From Last Week:
I fell in love with this Laundry Room Makeover on a $30 Budget from 702 Park Project. I’m secretly wishing my washer and dryer break down (and we get some extra money) so I can have a pretty laundry room like this!
I’ve been in the process of painting all our house trim white. Bigger Than the 3 of Us shared great reasons why painting a little trim black makes a big difference!
These Slow Cooker Teriyaki Meatballs from The Kitchen Wife look amazing! I could go for 3 or 4 (or 10!) of them right now!
Time for the party!

I’ve been painting all of ours white (except the kitchen) as well. We had dingy cream which really looks bad. Hope you love yours! Thanks so much for the feature!
Carrie says
Anything looks better than dingy cream!
Diane | An Extraordinary Day says
I think I need to learn to like Avocados, Carrie. I struggle with getting them ripe, or over ripe, and well… just about everything. But, I made a terrific Avocado dip. Once. 🙂 LOL
Hope your week is off to an extraordinary start!!
Blessings!!

I have a hard time deciding when they’re ripe too. I once pinned a post that shows how to tell when they’re ripe and that helped. I don’t like avocados by themselves, but they’re awesome paired with something flavorful and salty!

Thanks for hosting Carrie! You’re painting all your trim white? We did that too 🙂 It’s a HUGE job isn’t it? but I promise it will be totally worth it! 🙂
Carrie says
Oh my goodness it IS a huge job! We’ve spent the better part of 5 years painting all our trim white room by room. I think we have one trim piece left to go and we’re too lazy to do it now! Ha ha!
