The Crazy Month of May

I’m so glad the month of May is over.

Why?

For our family, May is CRAZY busy.  There’s lots of great events going on but they’re all jam packed into the same month.

Just look at my calendar:

We had so much going on last month and that meant me taking a TON of pictures.  Today I’m going to share the lows and highs of our busiest month of the year {plus sharing some exciting projects coming up on Carrie This Home!}

My poor son literally spent half the month sick with gastroenteritis.  This meant we were taking care of a very sad and unhappy baby while doing LOTS of extra laundry (for obvious reasons)  I’ll spare you most of the details but I will say that I’ve never been thrown up on more in my life.  Gross, I know.  Glad that’s over!

My kids and hubby planted some gorgeous flowers for me for Mother’s Day.  Good thing we took these pictures because the blooms are all gone now!

My daughter turned 4 and we had a big Nemo birthday party for her complete with a photo booth!  Four is such a fun and dramatic stage so this theme was perfect!

A few days later, the hubby and I got to go to a wedding on our 11th wedding anniversary!  This pink dress is the dress I wore as the hubby and I drove away to our honeymoon.  11 years ago.  {Don’t judge me for keeping clothes for so long!}

My hubby is a high school teacher and helps coach for the track and field team.  We were both so relieved once the school year and track season were FINALLY over since he was working a lot of late nights and not home much.

So what was the first thing we did on summer break?  We put together a shed!  As you can see my son already loves to help Daddy with projects!

We have tons of projects planned for this summer.  I can’t wait to get started on them and put all the details here on Carrie This Home!  Stay tuned for some fun projects including:

What are you excited about doing this summer?
